Choose optional measurement
Product analytics and ad measurement for your account.
Choose each purpose
Product analytics and advertising measurement are separate optional choices. Both remain off until you allow them.
Product analytics records account-linked page views and feature-use events. Advertising measurement records viewable ads and selections when ads are available.
Accept, reject or customize
Use Accept, Reject or Customize when Privacy choices appears. Rejecting optional measurement does not remove app functionality.
Essential sign-in, security, preferences and offline storage still operate. Optional measurement is off while you are signed out.
Change your choice
If you use the Privacy choices dialog instead, choose Save choices after setting each purpose, or Reject optional to turn both off.
Your saved choice applies to your account across devices. After withdrawal, devices clear unsent analytics when they receive the update, and the server rejects events using outdated consent.
Location recommendations have a separate choice and device permission.
- Sign in and open Settings → Privacy.
- Turn each optional purpose on or off. Each change is saved to your account.
