Moderation and Appeals Policy
How we review reports, the actions we can take, and how to appeal a decision.
What we review
Reports, automated signals, support requests, account behavior, content, club and support messages, club activity, subscription abuse, and security events may be reviewed when needed to enforce policies or protect users. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we can review one only if a participant shares it with us, for example in a support request.
Review context
- The reported content or behavior and surrounding conversation.
- Severity, user age, public visibility, account history, intent, and repeat behavior.
- Whether the issue involves safety, fraud, private information, exploitation, or legal risk.
- Whether sexualized nudity or explicit visual sexual content appears on any 10k surface.
- For graphic violence, whether the content is publicly visible and whether its surrounding context establishes a legitimate, necessary, and non-gratuitous public-interest purpose.
Possible actions
- No action when the report does not show a violation.
- Content removal, visibility limits, feature limits, warnings, temporary suspension, permanent ban, ticket closure, or payment-provider escalation.
- Referral to a platform, provider, legal authority, or emergency channel when required.
Notice
Where practical and appropriate, we provide notice of significant enforcement actions. Some details may be limited to protect reporters, minors, investigation integrity, security, privacy, or legal obligations.
Appeals
You can appeal moderation actions through support. Include the account email, action being appealed, relevant content or ticket IDs, and why the decision should change.
Appeals are reviewed by someone who did not take the original action where practical. Repeated abusive, duplicate, or bad-faith appeals may be closed without a new review.
