Cookie Policy
The storage 10k needs to work, and the optional measurement you can turn on or off.
What we use
10k uses cookies, local storage, IndexedDB, session storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the app, secure accounts, support offline sync, remember settings, and record choices.
Essential storage
Essential storage is always available and cannot be switched off inside 10k because sign-in, security, preferences, and offline operation depend on it. You can still remove browser or app data using your device controls.
- Authentication, refresh sessions, account security, and fraud prevention.
- Offline-first data, sync queues, conflict state, and local app state.
- Theme, layout, language, notification, and accessibility preferences.
- A stable installation identifier only for explicit authentication and client-readiness workflows.
- Your saved optional-measurement choices so the app can honor them.
- Which account setup steps you finished on the device, so the setup does not ask for them again.
- For 24 hours after a birthday that does not meet the minimum age, a note on the device that keeps the birthday step from being answered again with another date. It holds only the time of that answer.
Optional product analytics
Product analytics is off until you allow it. If enabled for a signed-in account, 10k creates an analytics session and records account-linked page views and feature-use events, including event time, platform, page path, and limited event metadata. We use these events to improve the product and do not sell them.
No analytics session, queue, timer, or product-analytics event is created while this choice is off. Turning it off clears unsent analytics data on that device.
Optional advertising measurement
This release shows no ads. If ads are introduced later, advertising measurement will remain off until you allow it. When you allow it, 10k records whether a delivered ad became viewable and whether you selected it, and includes those events in campaign-level reporting.
If ads are introduced later, they can appear and their destinations can open when advertising measurement is off. In that case, 10k counts aggregate ad-delivery selections for operations, but does not record the viewable impression or selection event without current consent evidence.
Payment and security providers
Google reCAPTCHA is loaded for the public support form to help prevent abuse. Google processes reCAPTCHA customer data, which may include browser, device, network, and interaction information, on our behalf as a processor under the Google Cloud terms and Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Rejecting optional product analytics does not disable security checks needed to use that form.
Identity, push-notification, payment, and app-store providers use their own technologies when you choose an available provider flow. Purchases are currently disabled during free launch. The Privacy Policy identifies providers and explains their roles.
Your choices
After account sign-in, 10k asks for your optional measurement choice with three options: Accept, Reject, and Customize. An account that has not chosen yet is asked during account setup; when a new choice is needed later, a banner on the first screen asks. Customize shows each optional purpose switched off until you turn it on. Until you choose, both optional purposes stay off, and ignoring the banner does not limit the app.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the authenticated app’s Privacy choices link or Settings → Privacy. 10k asks again only when a material disclosure change requires a new choice, not on a periodic timer.
Choices apply to your 10k account across devices. Signed-out sessions do not display these controls, create optional analytics state, or save optional measurement choices.
Approximate-location consent is a separate choice in Privacy settings and is not controlled by the optional measurement choices.
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser or device settings. Essential features, including sign-in and offline sync, may stop working until storage is available again.
