Choose location recommendations

Turn on approximate location

Your device converts its location to an approximate area before sending it to 10k. The recommendation area is roughly 36 square kilometres; its size varies by location.

1. Open Settings → Privacy → Location.
2. Choose Turn on and read the location explanation.
3. Allow the device’s location request if you want to use the feature.

How the area is used

The area is one signal for friend and club recommendations. It is not shown on your profile or used for advertising.

If you decline or location is unavailable, suggestions use other signals. This choice is separate from product analytics and advertising measurement.

Update or turn it off

Use Update area after moving if you want to refresh the recommendation area. Refreshes use foreground device permission rather than background tracking.

Choose Turn off to withdraw this choice and clear the active recommendation area. You can also manage location permission in your browser or device settings.
