Birthday and account setup
The age check, privacy choices and chat protection steps.
Check your age
You must be at least 18 to use 10k. Enter your birthday during account creation so 10k can check that you meet the age requirement.
If the birthday does not meet the minimum age, the birthday step is unavailable on that device for 24 hours. Do not enter a different birthday to bypass the check.
Choose optional measurement
After signing in, you may be asked to choose whether 10k can use product analytics and advertising measurement. Both are optional and remain off until you allow them.
You can reject optional measurement and keep using the app. Change either choice later in Settings → Privacy.
Protect your chats
Add a passkey or save a recovery code to protect access to your encrypted direct chats on another device.
Completed setup steps are saved to your account. You can manage chat protection later in Settings → Privacy → Encrypted chats.
