Offline mode and sync
Track time, add sessions and change your dashboard without a connection. 10k syncs everything when you are back online.
What works offline
Timers, manual entries, activity changes and dashboard layouts all work without a connection. Your data is stored on the device, so 10k opens quickly even on a slow network. Messages you write offline are sent when you reconnect, while clubs, friend requests and other social features need a connection.
Sync status
The sync icon in the header shows where your changes are:
- All changes synced everything is saved to your account.
- Syncing changes are being sent now.
- Pending changes changes are waiting to be sent.
- Offline mode there is no connection, and changes are kept on this device.
- Changes need review a change could not be saved and needs your decision.
Across your devices
10k syncs after every change, when you reconnect, when you come back to the app and when something changes on the server, with a check every 15 minutes as well. If the same thing was changed on two devices, the change that reached the server first is kept and 10k tells you.
Before you sign out or clear your browser
Changes that have not synced yet exist only on that device. Wait until the icon shows All changes synced before you sign out, clear browser data or uninstall the app.
Questions and answers
Does a new device work offline right away?
It needs to sign in and download your data once. After that it works offline.
Why does another device show an older number?
One of the devices may still have pending changes. Open both and wait for All changes synced.
Can I start a sync myself?
Yes. Settings, under Sync & Data, has a Sync Now button and a list of any changes that need review.
