Activities and sub-activities

Create an activity for each thing you want to get better at, and split bigger goals into sub-activities.

Create an activity

An activity is anything you want to put hours into: an instrument, a language, a sport or a side project. Give it a name, one of 210 illustrated icons and one of 10 colors. The icon and color follow the activity everywhere, from the activity list to charts and the Calendar.

Every activity has its own dashboard, so you can set up each one for the way you practice that skill.

Split it into sub-activities

Add sub-activities when one skill has several parts. Piano can have Scales, Repertoire and Sight reading, and you can nest activities up to three levels deep.

Time you track on a sub-activity also counts toward its parent, so Piano shows the total of all its parts. A sub-activity can use its own color and icon or inherit them from the parent.

Keep the list tidy

Drag activities to change their order. When you no longer need one, move it to the recycle bin. You have 30 days to restore it, with all its sessions, before it is deleted permanently.

Questions and answers

What can I track as an activity?

Anything you spend time on and want to improve: an instrument, a language, studying, a sport or a creative project.

How many levels of sub-activities can I have?

Up to three levels, for example Music, then Piano, then Scales.

What happens to my time if I delete an activity?

The activity and its sessions go to the recycle bin. Restore it within 30 days to get everything back.
